Buenos Aires, November 27 (NA) – The high-profile lawyer Nicolás Agustín Payarola Hernayes was arrested following raids conducted in recent hours in a case where he is being investigated for fraud and other crimes. According to information accessed by the Argentine News Agency, raids were carried out in Nordelta and Beccar, which concluded with the arrest of Payarola. The current investigation began following complaints from the victims: María Ximena Braña, Juan Marcelo Montiel (a footballer's relative), Macarena Posee, Silvana de Leonardis, Débora Grecco, and Norma Graciela Vignoni. The procedures were authorized by Prosecutor Cosme Iribarren of the Benavidez UFI and carried out this Thursday morning in Nordelta and Beccar. One of the operations ended with the arrest of the former lawyer of the high-profile Wanda Nara, and the seizure of documentation, digital storage devices, and cell phones. Payarola is being investigated for the crimes of fraud, embezzlement by fraudulent administration, and money laundering of criminal origin.
